enerally, saying that a business is underwater will not be taken as a compliment, but
that is literally where Bauer Cases began.
“My father and I started the business back in 1993, selling oceanographic equipment —
underwater cameras, sonar systems — that sort of thing,” explained Kurt Bauer, who
owns the company. “We started making custom cases for those products until eventually
we were selling more cases than gear, so we transitioned to exclusively making cases.”
