“I felt like I should have been an entrepreneur starting at age 21,” Jorgenson said. Jorgenson moved his business to Post Falls due to the business-friendly climate in Idaho. There were incentives for them to come to Idaho. “There’s no B&O tax here,” he said. “We had more support from the state level, putting a plant here. There were people who called us and said that they would help us jump through regulatory hoops,” Jorgenson added. ATC Manufacturing became a Tier 1 Boeing supplier early on due to Jorgenson’s experience in working with Boeing. Jorgenson has been in Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho since 1979. He was born in Forks, Washington and grew up in Western Montana. His father was in the timber industry there, and Jorgenson went to Montana State University for engineering.
