T his inculcated ethos has re- mained embedded throughout Ele- ment’s recent rebrand and exponen- tial expansion. In the past eight years Element has been involved with more than two dozen acquisitions, Cascade TEK, TRaC Global, Environ Laboratories, TEAMS S.L., Durkee Testing Laboratories, and Exova Group just to name a few. Exova was the largest, effectively doubling their laboratory and geographical offering. In November 2018, Element ac- quired UK-based Cobham Technical Services Direct Lightning Testing and Consultancy. The announcement explained “The test facility provides comprehensive lightning testing services and consultancy to the aerospace and defense sectors and is the only commercial laboratory in the country with the capability to test aero-structures for the effects of direct lightning strikes.” Adding direct lightning testing to Element’s capabilities, allows them to offer the full-suite of DO160/ED14 Section 23 testing services, and time-to-market advantages through shorter testing turnaround times. This saves custom- ers time and money. “We help to make cer- tain that the materials and products we test, inspect and certify for our customers are safe, quality, compliant, and fit for purpose.” ~ THE ELEMENT EXECUTIVE TEAM 14 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS
