The Future
For Stewart, the next big challenge is integrating Eclipse
Screen Printing into his operations, beginning with a name
change to Eclipse Technical Graphics. Unlike Color Craft,
Eclipse was on sound financial footing when he acquired the
company.
“Eclipse made sense from the very beginning for two simple
reasons. First, they have a sophisticated customer base that
is not in aerospace. Color Craft didn’t compete directly
with Eclipse, so they will bring balance to the company and
add diversity to our customer base,” said Stewart. “Second,
Eastern Washington is a very promising place to have a
facility. The work force is great and the cost of living is
lower, which will help offset tough labor market conditions
on this side of the mountains.”
Mark Norton, the vice president of Eclipse, is also bullish on
the new relationship with Stewart and the Color Craft team.

“We CGTech-MAR-Northwest
share a common Aero-PRINT.pdf
belief that our 1 core
business
is not just
making products — it’s solving problems for our customers.
We want to be true partners in the manufacturing process and
deliver the best combination of price, quality and function.”
Stewart explained that both companies will continue to
operate independently under their existing brands and will be
managed separately, except that now they are both members
of the Color Craft Group.
Looking further ahead, Stewart recognizes that the only
certainty in business, as in life, is change.
“I tell people that we’re in the business of humans interfacing
with technology and equipment,” he said. “Moving forward,
we’ll follow the technology and applications wherever they
lead us in support of our customers.”
