Lunceford stated that their DOD work focuses on repairing components , and they also do parts for naval ships . Describing their relationship with Lockheed Martin , he observed , “ They would walk over with components to either be repaired or full work orders . We could implement it in the system so they wouldn ’ t wait weeks for parts .” Confirming the close relationship , Long said Swiss ’ s quality management system and ISO 9001:2015 compliance was sufficient for Lockheed . He added that although they can no longer run next door for support , they are still doing business together .
Regarding the differences between doing business in California and doing business in Washington , Lunceford said it is much easier in Washington .
“ One reason is that all our suppliers are in the same town , which makes it much easier to get the job done sooner , keeping our lead times minimal for our customers .”
It seems that local relationships continue to be important to Swiss Productions . They are also partnered with Altek , Inc . and Accra-Fab in Liberty Lake , an additional expanding Northwest area for aerospace growth . If a partner needs something , they can run next door for help . Neighbors helping neighbors sounds like a good plan in today ’ s economy !
