Looking back , the year 2023 was surely a mixed bag . Many businesses are still reeling from the challenges brought upon the aerospace industry in the past few years , coupled with concerning labor shortages and a strained economy . Many of us have been treading rough waters and trying to balance , “ What can be done , with what needs to be done .”
A positive note is the increase in demand . The recent ordering influx seen by our OEM ’ s is proof positive that aerospace is not only rebounding , but also indicates that the industry is looking to the future , with more efficient aircraft and long-term reduced operating costs . I am confident that the manufacturing community will rise to the occasion — with automation , increased outreach for new staff and effective answers — to meet this call for increased demand . The entrepreneurial spirit is a powerful force . I feel 2024 will be a year of successes . They say , “ What does not kill you makes you stronger .” If that is true , we are all powerlifters !
