New Technology / Fresh Minds / Exciting Future
I have a saying I have used for many , many years , “ Things don ’ t normally change because they should ... they change because they have to .”
As an industry , we find ourselves in that space right now — technology is advancing daily . Even as a publisher for this industry , it is almost impossible to cover every new exciting advancement in every aerospace sector of commercial , space , military and UAV-UAS .
As exciting as that is , we are faced with shortages in the workforce to support the growth . Understanding the problem , the next question is “ What do we do about it ?”
In this issue you will find content with advice on how to market towards potential new employees . This may give you an edge finding the team members you need in the short term , but what about the long-term needs ?
Our parent company , Top Drawer Media , has developed a junior aerospace magazine called “ Let ’ s Go Aerospace ” that is designed to create and foster the curiosity of young minds and share the exciting industry that we all love . With QR codes to manufacturing videos , to “ Did you Know ” questions and exciting content offered by the major OEMs , “ Let ’ s Go Aerospace ” will be a very “ cool ” way to reach our middle school and junior high students , to build an engaged workforce for the future .
We may be developing the new technology , but it will be these young people that mature it into the fabric of our society . To see our digital version of “ Let ’ s Go Aerospace ” go to www . letsgoaerospace . com . To learn how you might be a distributor of this magazine to young people you can email me at dean @ topdrawermedia . com .
