A new partnership offers more opportunities for students
In 2021 , JCATI partnered with JCDREAM , a similar academic-funding program that was started in Pullman at Washington State University . Hacker said , “ Some of their goals overlap with JCATI and we want to leverage each other ’ s strengths .” Hacker said that their focus is to enable clean energy and low carbon transportation technology . She noted that their work is not aerospace specific , but “ They are a parallel of JCATI , but based at WSU and funded by the legislature . We thought that it would make sense for us to combine forces where there is an overlap .” She concluded , “ With the current requests for proposals if JCATI is going to award money , but it fits with JC- DREAM , they can add money to the project . We are trying to leverage the opportunity to increase interest , spread the word , and give more money .”
