Connect : Because the Northwest Mountain MSDC is an affiliate of the NMSDC , members have access to the National MSDC affiliate ’ s network of over 400 national members and 12,000 Certified MBEs across the country . Our robust MBE network helps regional and national corporations and public agencies connect with diverse suppliers across dozens of industry verticals . The Council is able to recommend specific MBEs based on experience , source lists of pre-qualified MBEs for a regional opportunity or connect members to sister Councils around the country . In addition , the Council facilitates both formal and informal introductions between entities of all sizes that may benefit from one another . From open networking to matched one-on-one engagements at Council conferences , award banquets , and events , the Northwest Mountain MSDC helps corporations and MBEs identify and establish business relationships .
Advocate : The Northwest Mountain MSDC works extensively in our network and community to educate stakeholders on the value of a diverse and inclusive supply chain practice . These efforts include advocacy with members on behalf of our MBEs for potential contracting opportunities and supply chain inclusion .
In addition the Council encourages MBEs to do business and collaborate with peer MBEs to grow their business , capacity , and experience . As a recognized leader in the industry , the Council also serves an advisory role to members of local and regional government institutions on matters of supplier diversity , equity , and inclusion in order to advance greater economic opportunities through public policy .

The Council ’ s ability to bring thought leaders from across industries together at the same table , creates a place for discussion and growth of ideas about the future direction of supplier diversity .
