I ’ m not an aviation industry analyst , but I am an optimist . The Dow Jones Industrial Average has increased decade after decade somewhat unfazed by the Great Depression , two World Wars , or the more recent Great Recession and the viral pandemic ( gives new meaning to going viral ). It was under 1,000 when I was a kid and I bet it will breach 40,000 this decade .
The airline industry has similarly seen a steady growth .
