At this year ' s Women in Aerospace Conference, a common theme emerged in conversations throughout the event. The concerns people were discussing weren ' t centered on a lack of opportunity— in fact, quite the opposite.
We’ re seeing a convergence of activity never before seen in aerospace. Commercial aviation is growing. Defense spending remains strong. Space continues to attract investment and innovation. Across the industry, companies see opportunities for growth.

The challenge many organizations are facing today is execution.
Finding the people, capacity, technology, and resilience needed to keep pace with opportunity has become increasingly difficult. While every company experiences these pressures differently, many of the underlying challenges are remarkably similar.
Workforce development remains one of the most pressing concerns. Companies across the aerospace ecosystem are competing for skilled talent while experienced workers continue to retire. At the same time, many students and job seekers remain unaware of the variety of careers available within aerospace.
