hile the I-5 Corridor has long been Washington State’s aerospace manufacturing hub,
Spokane is making strides to expand the supply chain east through a new Public Development
Authority (PDA).

The West Plains/Airport Area PDA is a unique partnership between the City of Spokane, Spo-
kane County and Spokane International Airport. The new entity will facilitate infrastructure
improvements and other projects designed to attract new manufacturing and aerospace busi-
ness to the area. Through the PDA, 75 percent of the tax revenue created by new businesses in
the defined geographic zone will go back to the PDA to continue growing business there.
