disabilities to produce aerospace parts.

C
hallenges are everywhere in the workplace — which makes it sur-
prising that some of the most competent and confident people that you’ll
meet producing Boeing parts in Washington are at The Lighthouse for
the Blind, Inc.
Alex Carter, 25, is a CNC set up specialist at the Lighthouse in Seattle.
He is legally blind and started with the non-profit six years ago after
a family friend referred him to apply for a job. He said that he can see
some colors and shapes but does not read braille.
