PACIFIC NORTHWEST AEROSPACE ALLIANCE SPOTLIGHT
Tying it all together at the region’s premier aerospace event
PNAA’s 2019 aerospace conference is shaping up
to be their best yet. As recognized by Steve
Garfein, founder of RPM Systems Corporation,
“This conference gets better and better every year.”
Being the first major conference of the year and
having the privilege of hosting an event right in the
heart of Boeing country, the team recognizes the
importance it plays to so many stakeholders in the
industry and has dedicated itself to growing the
content and participation year on year. That
participation now extends across the globe, with
international delegations making the trip to Seattle
to be a part of the action. Richard Aboulafia,
analyst of Teal Group comments, “They took the
world’s biggest cluster, turned it into a tremendous
conference and let the world show up.”
The 2019 conference focuses on the challenges that
all suppliers are facing as they meet new production
rates and position themselves for securing contracts
on the next airframe, be it a Boeing or Airbus prod-
uct. It builds on the theme of Industry 4.0 at their
2018 conference by demonstrating how affordable
changes can bring about substantial benefits to pro-
ductivity and the cost of doing business. Building
on the success of previous years, audience favorites
Richard Aboulafia and Dr. Kevin Michaels are set
to return, along with Boeing and Airbus. Rolls-
Royce will be returning this year to provide insights
on future engines along with several other leading
OEMs, including UTC Aerospace, Mitsubishi and
Rockwell Automation, to name but a few. As al-
ways, the interests for speaking slots exceeds supply
and the team focuses on delivering the program that
best serves their customers’ requests. We look for-
ward to seeing you there in February!
Tips for conference success:
· Decide on your objectives for the conference and take a
positive mindset with you
· Narrow down companies and presentations to target
rather than having a shotgun approach
· Connect to other conference attendees in advance – get
signed up to PNAA Connect
· Perfect your elevator pitch beforehand
· Have business cards and promotional materials to hand
· Elevate your presence by sponsoring or exhibiting
· Look for speaking and workshop opportunities
