“We have doubled our capacity in machining and CNC mill operator training,” stated Chris Martin, vice president for Finance and Business Affairs at NIC. “In recent years we’ve added eight CNC mills, replacing two older ones in the process. We also established a one-semester CNC Mill Operator program as part of a response to the needs of regional aerospace man- ufacturers.” The Idaho Aerospace Alliance (IDAA) hosted their annual meeting at NIC’s Parker Center in early November. The IDAA and their Spokane-based partner organization, the Inland Northwest Aerospace Consortium, are well into planning the fourth annual I-90 Aero- space Corridor Conference & Expo. That event will be May 28-29, 2019 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, right near NIC’s main campus and the Center for Entrepreneurship. 44 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS Aerospace Center 1845 Dakota Avenue, Hayden, ID 83835.
