For many companies such change can take a toll on the business and the workforce. But AIM Aerospace’s refreshing approach to the challenge has achieved quite the opposite and is set to take the company – and especially their Pacific Northwest locations – from strength to strength. A New Paradigm: Enabled by Industry 4.0 AIM Aerospace has been serving the aerospace community from Washington State for over 30 years, specializing in composite products including composite ducting, secondary structures and interior parts. Its Washington facilities based in Auburn, Sumner and Renton produce over 25,000 components every month, which has earned the company a well-de- served reputation of excelling at delivering high-volume parts. However, much of AIM Aerospace’s traditional work is labor intensive and relatively low-level technology, reflective of the legacy aerospace era. 52 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS
