If you have heard the AC / DC song “ T . N . T .” you ’ ll remember the confident energy of their lead singer , Ronald Belford Scott ( known as Bon Scott ) singing about T . N . T . and how he ’ s “ dynamite .” The singer , when photographed , had a sense of humor , dressing as a schoolgirl , and did not take himself too seriously . Aaron Theisen , co-owner of TNT Aerospace in Sumas , Washington — a stone ’ s throw from Canada , has a similar sense of humor and seems to enjoy everything he does . The company name started as Theisen N ’ Theisen , which was shortened to TNT with the Aerospace addition . That , as both Theisens are AC / DC fans .

But TNT Aerospace is a serious business with a fantastic track record . Trust is mission-critical for the company . Theisen said that the company is established in the aerospace industry in Washington . They have been in business since 2006 and recently earned AS9100 certification , completed during the pandemic . They produce machined parts with prototyping , production , and assembly in their 5,300-square-foot facility .
Theisen said that he and his brother Adam started the business because they were both trained in CNC ( Computer Numerically Controlled ) machining from Bellingham Technical College ( BTC ). Adam earned his degree first . Aaron will tell you with a laugh that he went to BTC following an unfortunate week of being fired from The Home Depot . “ I was on the phone with the college and enrolled on the way home from the store .”
