T ECT is a group of privately-held companies with a common owner that arranges investments through Stony Point Group Inc., the family front office. TECT’s founder had enthusiasm for avia- tion which led to the creation of the TECT family of companies which include TECT Aerospace and TECT Power. TECT Aerospace provides state-of- the-art machining, kitting, assembly, and system integration for domestic and international aero- space customers while TECT Power specializes in forging and machining of complex commercial and military components for turbine engines, aero- structures, helicopter and industrial applications. TECT Aerospace originally launched with multi- ple plants in Wichita, Kansas and one location in Kent, Washington. In late 2004 TECT Aerospace was able to double their size through the purchase of Neuvant Aerospace Corporation in Seattle and further increased their footprint with the acquisi- tion of BAE System Precision Aerostructures, Inc. in Wellington, Kansas. Because TECT Aero- space’s mission and purpose is to be more than just a machine shop for their worldwide clientele they have continued to add new technology and machinery. TECT Aerospace has strengthened their core business through strategic acquisitions and trans- formed their offering through good old-fashioned hard work, wise investments, and operational integration. They are 100 percent committed to investing in the expansion of their service offering and product portfolio in order to meet the ever-in- creasing customer and industry demand. Most recently, in March of this year, NWI Holdings, an affiliate by ownership with TECT Aerospace and TECT Power, purchased four machining opera- tions from Triumph Group Inc. NWI’s plans are to separately operate the Triumph sites in Toronto and Albany while the acquired Kansas City and Wichita sites will integrate with TECT Aerospace. This transaction has created significant opportuni- ty for TECT Aerospace to increase affordability of scale and capacity. AUGUST| SEPTEMBER 2019 ISSUE NO. 10 9
