K
nowing that customers don’t want to wait
weeks or months for critical encoders, EPC relies
on its vertical integration to offer the shortest lead
times in its industry. The company can build-to-
order almost all of the billion-plus configuration
options in its catalog, within six business days.
And about 90 percent of those items can ship
within one to two days – some even on the same
day as ordered.
EPC has developed an impressive arsenal of capa-
bilities and processes to sustain this level of mass
customization. These include an up-to-date ma-
chine shop with several multi-axis CNC mills and
lathes; PCB production; an automated SMT line;
automated wire bonding; in-house production of
film encoder disks; a cable assembly center; envi-
ronmental testing; and a repair center. In addition,
EPC offers customers a complement of sustain-
ing, design, R&D, and application engineering
resources. The company also produces accessories
for encoders, including cable assemblies, signal
converters, measuring wheels, brackets, and more.

Complete measuring wheel solution
to simplify system design
An innovator from the beginning, EPC has delivered a host
of encoder industry firsts over the years, and continues to
explore new sensing technologies and designs to keep pace
with customer needs. While still manufacturing an upgrad-
ed version of the original Cube encoder, recent product
introductions include linear measurement solution encoders,
encoder modules, multi-turn absolute encoders, and Ether-
CAT® network capable encoders.
