Aerospace’s goal is to push for less
manual intervention and more da-
ta-driven decisions.
Integrating Industry 4.0 with their
sales, inventory, operations and
planning (SIOP) system, will enable
data collected across the company
to drive decisions. According to the
blog Chron, “SIOP provides valu-
able information to the organization
including updated sales, production,
inventory and new product develop-
ment plans. Further, SIOP helps the
organization manage replenishment
and profitability strategies. Rough-cut
capacity planning also uses SIOP to
set production targets and inventory
levels. (https://smallbusiness.chron.

is taken on within the RTC, AIM assesses the ability to automate the process.
That allows improvements in throughput, efficiency and improving repeatability
and reliability, thus reducing the human error element.” Evans is quick to note,
“It’s not about replacing people with robots. It’s about
putting people in the right positions to improve the
use of technology alongside machines.”
