PNAA has included Canadian representation
for many years on our board, actively building
relationships while attending the annual Aerospace,
Defense and Security Expo (ADSE) at
the Abbotsford International Airport, B.C. This
event is held every August by the Aerospace
Industries Association Canada (AIAC), which
has served their members for over 50 years to
develop what is today the fifth-largest national
aerospace industry in the world. Concurrently,
the outstanding Annual Abbotsford International
Airshow is held every August as well
(but, unfortunately not this year, 2020, due to
the pandemic). The dramatic airshow usually
displays the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the
U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor, the RCAF CF-18
Hornet and legacy flights to name just a few.
See you in 2021 for sure!
So, why does the PNAA spend the resources to
go to Aerospace, Defense and Security Expo, as
well as other conferences in Canada? Why does
the PNAA attend conferences and hold conferences?
Why have memorandums of understanding
(MOUs) with other Canadian Aerospace-focused
organizations like Aviation Alberta, B.C.
Aviation Council, the Consulate General of
Canada, the Manitoba Aerospace Industry, the
Ontario Aerospace Council, Aerospace Industries
Association of Canada, Aero-Montreal and
Abbottsford Aerospace?
Our large PNAA boundaries are necessary
because we are a large aerospace cluster - made
possible because we are already an inclusive
aerospace community.
The PNAA is about the companies mentioned
above, deepening existing linkages between
aerospace companies while broadening the
number of new connections for international
matchmaking activities with third countries
involving the SME members. It’s about matchmaking,
and seeking new business opportunities
through establishing and strengthening
relationships.
Hail Canada!
