Many great companies have been born from creating a means to address a current need or a previously unknown opportunity. From today forward we will be paying very close attention to opportunities to reduce costs, improve safety and be better at what we do than we were before March of 2020. In these short few months, the way we clean, the way we communicate, the way we market and interact with each other has changed so dramatically that the “old” ways seem ancient. What has impressed me most is the unified spirit of collaboration to get through this chapter. Numerous entities from industry member organizations to local, state and even federal agencies have been working hard to help companies and their employees not only get through this time but come out better in the end. There will certainly be loss and struggles but there will inevitably also be new growth and opportunity. So now is not a time to shrink back but rather it is a time to step on the gas and reinvent ourselves to meet the current needs. Recently I spoke with several Tier 1-2 companies I have known in my career and who are subscribers to Northwest Aerospace News. They have expressed that they love reading about suppliers they were not previously aware of — a key metric in the development of our magazine. This gave us the inspiration to expand on that opportunity and develop an Annual Resource Guide that you can read about on pages 18-19. To that end we will continue to look for new ways to introduce amazing companies to an incredible industry of exceptional people. Thank you, Dean Cameron Publisher 4 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS
