Owner and CEO, Mike Brown, is the second “Mike” to own the business. He
purchased the company from the former owner of 30 years, Mike Hammer, in 2017.
Brown had spent a decade as the general manager of the company. Brown leads the
way with a focus on core values — in addition to dependability— Aero-Plastics
lives by the values of trust, humility, learning, and innovation. He also focuses on a
strategic vision that is communicated to all team members, stating “it is all about the
culture.”
In 2020, Aero-Plastics is continuing efforts to grow market share in the aerospace
industry. Nielsen said, “As a small privately held company, although well-known in
local industry, we are always looking at expanding.” Nielsen reflected that the business
is, “expanding frontiers and working to develop an expanded global footprint.”
Weems added that while they work to meet high standards in the company, “they
also have a fun and enjoyable culture.” The culture is nurtured with social events
such as “Blue Friday’s,” cooking competitions and other events throughout the year.
Brown states “It is important for us to
create the time to play as a team.”
Aero-Plastics is a company that depends
on each other, which is critical
to support their drive to be the most
dependable aerospace company in the
world.
