Certification
“ Our certification is fairly rigorous and includes a site visit where we engage directly with women decision makers at a firm ,” she explains . “ Our certification is recognized as the standard for private industry , including most Fortune 500 companies .”
WBENC certification is an important marketing tool for expanding a company ’ s visibility among decision makers in corporate supply chain diversity and procurement organizations . Certified WBEs use their credentials to gain access to the organization ’ s corporate members , government agencies , and certified WBEs across the country .
In addition to administering WBENC certifications , Greene ’ s office also serves as a third-party certifier for the U . S . Small Business Association ’ s Women-Owned Small Business Certification ( WOSB ). This certification is a requirement for the WOSB Federal Contracting Program and opens up additional business opportunities for WBEs with government entities . Greene encourages companies to get both certifications if they are eligible .
