s with many manufacturers, customers will often
come on-site to learn more about the process or to see
a project in process. While in bigger cities, there might
be evening entertainment and a variety of food options,
Franklin noted those business outings are possibly less
exciting in Payette.
“Payette has 7,000 people but we are close to Ontario.
When people come here, there are limited entertainment
opportunities, but we have good Mexican food and a
nice golf course,” he added with a laugh.
Customers must enjoy the Mexican restaurant in town
because the company has picked up five-year agree-
ments with some customers. Franklin said, “We access
their demand through a website weekly so that we can
fulfill their needs to keep the production line going.
We’ve had their engineers at our facility, and we’ve
gone to their facility to review production.

We really are partners. They can’t get what we give them
from just anywhere because we are part of their production
team.”
They work with a variety of materials in aerospace, medical
and oil and gas applications. Aerospace materials include
stainless steel and alloys. Franklin said, “For us it’s the kind
of tooling we need to use — what it’s made of, how we run
the tooling and feed products can be manipulated to define
certain finishes and results. We are lucky enough to have
broad experience.”
