Jamco America Keeps it Real with Consistency and Performance By Jennifer Ferrero, APR T he term “jam” can mean many things — crushing fruit, an im- promptu performance by jazz musicians, to squeeze or wedge tightly between surfaces — or it can be short for Jamaica. In this case, the term Jamco was created over 40 years ago in Japan and from the 1950s era company, Japan Aircraft Maintenance Company. Company spokesperson, Michael Yeates, senior sales manager, said that the name was officially changed to Jamco Corporation in 1988. The company has locations in Japan, Singapore, and Everett, Wash- ington. Annual revenue for Jamco America is $190 million and is approaching $1 billion for Jamco Corporation.
