APRIL/MAY 2019 ISSUE NO. 8 CONTRIBUTORS Michael Lombardi started at Boeing in 1979 and has been the Senior Corporate His- torian for the Boeing Company since 1994. He is also the corporate historian for North Ameri- can Aviation and manager of Boeing Historical Services which includes the company’s histor- ical archives. He has a bachelor of arts degree in history from City University and has presented lectures on aerospace history to the American Institute of Astronautics and Aeronautics, the Royal Aeronautical Society, The Air League of the U.K. and several air museums. Aaron Ferrell is the Marketing Communications Manager at Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC), a non-profit registered apprenticeship organization in Wash- ington State. Aaron’s decade of experience in social media marketing, videography, search engine optimization, graphic design, event planning, website development and creative content have strengthened AJAC’s marketing strategy to advance apprenticeships in aero- space manufacturing. Fiona McKay, recently joined the PNAA as Business Development Director, on the an- niversary of her 10th year in aerospace. She now holds the position of Deputy Executive Director. Her principal responsibilities include the development and strengthening of relationships with both the Pacific Northwest and international aerospace community, sup- porting the development and delivery of the PNAA’s networking and market intelligence events, and using her knowledge of the industry to enhance the evolution of PNAA’s mission and growth. Kate Kanapeaux specializes in devel- oping programs that engage communities and grow organizations. She supports the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition (PNDC) members and the larger community of Northwest defense and security industry businesses with programs that strengthen business growth, our region’s economy, and our nation’s security. Programs include training, meet-the-buyer opportunities, and business-to-business networking. 6 NORTHWEST AEROSPACE NEWS AEROSPACE NORTHWEST N E W S M A G A Z I N E Staci Nelson is the executive coordi- nator for the Inland Northwest Aerospace Consortium. She has more than 20 years of experience in leading volunteer-driven organizations and trade associations in their efforts to fulfill their missions and serve their constituencies. She is based in Spokane but supports aerospace manufacturers all along the Northwest’s I-90 Corridor. Jennifer Ferrero, APR, ACB, ALB provides marketing and communication services to the Center of Excellence. She is nationally accredited in public relations, and frequently writes about workforce develop- ment and education in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries. Patrick Sherman experience flying in support of firefighters, research scien- tists, industry and community groups. An award-winning speaker, writer and educator, he has shared his knowledge and insights around the world. Recognized for his contributions with an individual Xcellence Award from the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), he has been quoted in the New York Times and the Washington Post as a drone expert. Chris Nussbaum has been in the aero- space industry for nearly a decade working in purchasing and sales for the Tier 1 and Tier 2 aircraft interiors manufactures and integrators. Chris is the Business Develop- ment Executive for Northwest Aerospace News Magazine.
