Al- though she came into the program with minimal skills, she will leave Tool Gauge, a place she can always call home. “My experience with our youth apprentice Ra- quel has cemented my dedication to always renewing in the Youth Apprenticeship,” Folyer said. “Every year the program recruits, I am going to hire at least one or two students out of the program, with the hopes I can get another Raquel!” The goal of each program is to develop productive, lifelong learners that companies can rely upon to grow our state’s aerospace and advanced manufacturing workforce.
