wo years later, Raquel is
gearing up to graduate from
high school and AJAC as one
of the first production techni-
cian youth apprentices. With a
journey-level credential under
her belt at 17 years old, her
options post-high school are
endless, “Most likely after I
complete the Youth Appren-
ticeship I will go to a four-year
university to pursue mechan-
ical engineering because it is
based off of machining and
manufacturing. I can also be-
come a journey-level machinist
in the adult program,” Taijito
said. “With this, I can be far-
ther ahead in the game when I
enter, than adults.”
