T
he Everett location serves as
headquarters for Jamco America
and was started in 1982 based on a
Boeing contract to implement gal-
leys and lavatories into wide-body
aircraft. Initially, the products
were produced in Japan and then
representatives would travel to
Everett to oversee installation.
Eventually, a plant was set up in
Everett that provides all facets of
design, engineering, and produc-
tion of aircraft interiors either for
new wide-body aircraft, or for
reconfigurations.
Jamco America works in tandem
with the plants in Japan and Singa-
pore and is proud of their heritage
as a company. A recent corporate
video states,
“Everything we do is for the passenger —
their comfort, safety, and total experience.”
Those fortunate enough to pur-
chase premium class seating will
enjoy Jamco’s new Journey Evo
and Venture seating on the Boeing
787 Dreamliner, touting better
alignment, structure, and aes-
thetics while promoting balance,
better fit, and thoughtful design.
The seating rivals that of a luxury
class automobile, with the ability
to recline and be entertained, using
the newest technology while in
flight.
This seating supports business
and first class cabins and provides
passengers comfort, delight and
a unique travel experience. The
seating is not for economy class
passengers and Yeates shared that
each seat can be quite expensive
— airlines will have to pass on
that cost in ticket sales.
