Masardis to Ashland on the Aroostook River
Approximately a 12 mile trip that beginners can handle in 4 to 5
hours.
Put in at Masardis at the public boat launch off Rt. 11, MAG 58
A2. The trip will take you through a mix of farm and forest land.
Wildlife will be encountered along the way with great views from
the river.
The water is a mix of fl at and gentle rips. Best run with a canoe
during high to moderate water levels. Kayaking is possible during
the summer except in extreme low water periods.
