In 2016, Du Fresne Manufacturing, in Vadnais Heights, was the host location for a BizRecycling Manufacturing Lunch and Learn, sponsored by VHEDC and BizRecycling. The event was attended by several area manufacturers who shared what they have been doing at their businesses, as well as the challenges they were experiencing. BizRecycing and a representative from Waste Wise were present to answer questions and give more information about the grant program. Several businesses initiated visits with the Waste Wise consultant to begin their participation in the BizRecycling program. Having an event that focused specifically on manufacturers allowed them to share best practices and challenges in a more targeted way, and it provided an opportunity for some industry specific conversations. Du Fresne has been approved for a grant and will initiate their project in 2017.
