Maplewood. It is scheduled to happen between June 1st and Halloween. The project will include the stretch of road between Greenbrier Street and just short of Highway 61.
“ It is a total reconstruction. Right now it has no curb, gutter or storm sewer. We are installing curb, gutter and storm sewer and rebuilding the entire road,” said Mazzitello.
Also planned in Ramsey County, the reconstruction of the interchange at Interstate 35E and County Road J. Right now there are only two accesses at the interchange. The other two will be added when the project is complete.
“ The reason behind this project is anticipated growth in Lino Lakes, southern Anoka County and in White Bear Township along Centerville Road, which runs just to the west of 35E,” said Mazzitello.“ There is some congestion there now and we want to solve the problem before it becomes a catastrophic one by getting out in front of that growth and development.”
The new interchange will begin construction in 2025 and complete construction in 2026.
Several pavement resurfacing projects will also be happening in August, September and October 2025.

Van Dyke Street near Aldrich Arena.

There is also a redevelopment project underway in St. Paul and bordering Maplewood along McKnight Road south of Larpenter.“ The Heights” is a development being built on what used to be a Ramsey County golf course. When finished it will be a combination of housing and commercial development.
