Figures 2 and 3 show the exposed mandible
and the excised specimen.
Figures 4 and 5 show the fibula harvest and
guided implants placed while the vascularized
graft is still attached to the leg.
Figures 6 and 7 show the bone graft in place
with implant angulation pointing towards the
palatal cusp of the upper teeth.
Figures 8 and 9 reveal postoperative imaging showing
restored mandibular height and ideal implant angulation.
After 4 months of implant integration, the final dental restora-
tions will be placed. The goal of this surgery is to restore
mandibular form as close as possible to a normal jaw. This
allows implants to be positioned so that the final restorative
phase is no different from traditional implant restorations.
