Dr . Robinson is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry , American Dental Association , Texas Dental Association , Dallas County Dental Society , and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics . She enjoys being a part of Lakewood Women in Business , Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce , and is a Community Partner with her children ’ s school , St . John ’ s Episcopal . She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Texas A & M College of Dentistry Alumni Association . Since 2010 , she has been the Director of the Aspire Dental Assisting School .
She and her husband , Don , reside in Lakewood / East Dallas with their daughter , Charlotte , their son , Matthew , and rescue dog , Ivy . When Dr . Robinson isn ’ t practicing dentistry , she enjoys weight training in the gym , practicing yoga , playing piano , traveling , and spending time with her amazing family .
Dr . Dena Robinson received her dental degree in 1999 from Texas A & M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin . Following dental school , she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency , also at TAMBCD . In 2000 , she relocated to Chicago , Illinois and continued her dentistry in private practice while serving as a clinical faculty member at The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry .
She moved back to Texas in 2003 and continues her dentistry in private practice in the East Dallas area . She is also a former clinical faculty member at Texas A & M Baylor College of Dentistry . In 2004 , The Academy of General Dentistry presented her the prestigious Fellowship Award symbolizing excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to outstanding patient care through continuing education .
Dr . Joe J . Simmons III , a fifth-generation dentist , recently joined the team at Robinson Dentistry . He is a member of the full-time faculty at Texas A & M College of Dentistry and serves as the new president of the TAMCD Alumni Association . Prior to pursuing a career in dentistry , Dr . Simmons was an underwater archaeologist studying shipwrecks . He is an expert on Spanish ships of discovery , early artillery , and life at sea .
