dental services and compassionate care. “I have been in practice
a long time. We’ve seen our patients marry, have babies, move
to new careers, and even bring their young children to us for
their own dental care. I love people and I enjoy getting to know
them. We all go the extra mile to earn their trust and loyalty
every day because that’s what is important to us.” Her patients
love the new facility, and they keep coming back because they
appreciate the warm, personal care Dr. Robinson and her team
provide. Angie is still an indispensable part of the team and has
now been in the field of dentistry for 36 years.
MORE THAN A DENTAL OFFICE
Dr. Robinson’s passion for dentistr y is contagious, and she loves
sharing it with others. She was a member of the clinical faculty
at The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and
after returning to Texas in 2003, she served on the clinical fac-
ulty at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry (now Texas A&M
College of Dentistry). That experience in teaching, led her to
embrace new opportunities to bring others into the profession.
In 2010, she and her assistant Angie took their passion for
teaching and started the Aspire Dental Assisting School.
Now, when Dr. Robinson teaches aspiring students how to be
great dental assistants, she doesn’t have far to commute. The
new East Dallas facility is also home to the TWC-licensed Aspire
Dental Assisting School for students pursuing a career in dental
assisting, where Dr. Robinson and Angie Hallmark deliver both
classroom instruction and hands-on training to students in a
comprehensive 10-week program. Besides being a dream office,
Robinson Dentistry is also a place where dreams of a career in
dental assisting are realized.
According to Angie, who plays an integral role in the training,
“In this program, students master all the basic elements of den-
tal assisting, including how to take vitals, pass instruments, and
interact with patients. They sit knee-to-knee with our valued
patients and get practical experience in an operating dental
office. It gives them a chance to get exposed to dental assisting
in a way that usually isn’t possible.”
One day a week is spent in the classroom, where Angie delivers
curriculum on restorative dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics,
endodontics, pediatric dentistry, x-rays, and dental anatomy.
After the first week, students are scheduled for the first of nine
4-hour timeslots chairside with Dr. Robinson and her patients.
Once the in-office chairside sessions are completed, the student
has extern training at an outside network office. Robinson Den-
Aspire Dental Assisting School provides classroom instruction and hands-on training in a comprehensive 10-week program.
