The Center, located in Flower Mound, is a state-of-the-art teaching facility for extended dental education. Founded by Dr. Hal Stewart, Daniel O’Rourke, CDT and Dr. Craig Herre, TXCOS is dedicated to educating the dentist and the dental lab technician on how to accurately and predictably diagnose and treat occlusal disease in a minimally invasive manner. The next session of the System-Based Occlusal Residency is July 9-11. Check out TXCOS’s goals and objectives – this program might be just what you need to re-invigorate your practice! As a complement to our cover feature, Smiles in the Spotlight presents a case by The Texas Center for Occlusal Studies. The Minimally Invasive Full Mouth Rejuvenation case represents a new standard of care with results that are both functional and esthetic. In a Custom Profile, Kimberly Cole, a licensed massage therapist with special training in TMJ myofascial release is highlighted. Kim provides relief to TMJD patients with her therapeutic touch. The recent Texas Mission of Mercy at Eastfield College was a record-breaking success. We salute this event with a fun col- lection of photos and comments from TDA and this year’s chairman, Dr. Sloan Hildebrand. Touching on just a few examples of the compelling editorial included in this issue – Rules and Regulations updates the latest information you need to know on Medicare Choices for your practice; Practice Transition offers important do’s and don’ts for selling a practice after the owner’s death and Practice Management challenges you to improve your communication with your patients.
