LS: Have the ingredients in Periodyne been proven to be safe? KV: The patented cetylated natural oils in Periodyne come from the U.S.-grown food supply. There is no known toxicity or side effects. To test safety, University of Minnesota researchers fed animals over 3,000 times the daily dose of these cetylated oils and absolutely no pathology or side effects occurred. Periodyne is a very safe product. LS: How would Periodyne impact a dental clinic’s bottom line? KV: Hygienists on average see eight patients a day and at least half of them experience gingival sensitivity during hygiene appointments. If Periodyne was dispensed to only two patients a day, then on a yearly basis this would earn a clinic approximately $70,000 in additional net income. At the same time, the cost to patients is affordable for most at approximately $40 per month. FIRST VISIT - BEFORE PERIODYNE TREATMENT We believe an additional benefit of patients being more comfortable during scaling is that they would be more likely to schedule regular hygiene appointments and this, of course, means even more revenue. Very importantly, Periodyne is applied by patients at home and therefore will not take up valuable chair time. LS: To conclude our discussion, do you have any final thoughts for our readers and how they can find more information about Periodyne? KV: We are very excited about Periodyne – our clinic feedback is that it quickly and very consistently benefits those patients in which scaling is just not enough. At the same time it reduces work place stress for hygienists, as patients are more comfort- AFTER ONE MONTH OF PERIODYNE TREATMENT able. Being science-based, natural and very safe, Periodyne truly is an obvious choice.
