The Stone Crabs and the City
of North Port teamed up in
2009 for this annual event
that brings the community
together over a night of
baseball at the Charlotte
Sports Complex. North Port
residents can purchase
reserved tickets for $15, which
come with free hot dogs,
popcorn, soda and cookies
through the fifth inning. The
first 500 fans to order tickets
will also receive a
complimentary special-
edition hat.
“The North Port
community has been
unbelievable supporters of
the Stone Crabs
organization,” Stone Crabs
General Manager Jared
Forma said. “North Port
Community Night is a night
we always look forward to
every season and without a
doubt one of the best nights
of the year.”
Last year, over 700 people
attended North Port
Community Night. Organizers
expect the event to be well
attended again this season.
In the game, which will start
at 6:05 p.m., the Stone Crabs
will face the Fort Myers
Miracle. A fireworks display
will follow.
“Baseball has always been a
family activity, and North Port
certainly has a lot of young
families who would like to
spend time at the ball park,”
Erin Bryce, Marketing and
Communications Coordinator
for the City of North Port,
said. “We are happy to be
working with the Stone Crabs
once again to provide this
activity for our residents.”
Tickets are on sale now. To
