3D SHOOTS
Then there is my wife and my favorite. The 3D
shoot. Which are course competitions set up with
3D foam targets set out at different distances,
where the yardage is either marked or you have
to judge (without the use of a range finder) the
distance yourself. One keeps score on a card which
is turned in every day. Most shoots are normally a
two day, Saturday & Sunday, event. These shoots
can also get very competitive and have come down
to a shoot off if two or more archers are tied at the
end of the competition. During 3D competitions,
it’s not uncommon to walk three miles on one
course since many courses are set up on some
fairly rugged terrain.
