Archery Tech: Calvin Fuller I have been archery hunting since 2004. Before coming to North 40, I was the owner of Sandpoint Outfitters, a 3,800 square foot hunting retail store. I have been in archery retail for 10 years, as well as an avid hunter and competitive shooter. My brand of choice is Bowtech, however, there are lots of great bows out there. In 2009, during my competitive shoots, I turned to Tim Pask to help my scores increase. Tim completely re-taught me how to shoot. He had me shooting back tension with a Carter release. After 5 months, my scores improved and I have been shooting this way ever since. I have taught many shooters this technique that Tim passed on to me, and most shooters are still shooting this way with great success. My first run in with an elk was the day I was flying out for my honeymoon. I had a small heard of elk cross a ridge in front of me, I closed the distance as fast as possible. The bull came out last at 25 yards, I drew back and missed. From that moment forward I was hooked on bow hunting and my wife was very glad I didn’t get that bull. 24
