Klaus Frimor
Klaus Frimor is one of the key figures of these times when it comes to fly casting.
His knowledge of both single and double-handed rods, lines and casting techniques
have taken him to work in research and development departments for brands like
Loop Tackle. His work and passion has taken him to countries like Iceland, Cuba,
Chile, Argentina, the US and Canada, where he has been a popular lecturer, fly-
casting teacher and a head liner at many Spey Claves and shows around the world.
He has also appeared in several fly-fishing films.
Dillon Given
I was raised in the lettuce capital of the world, Salinas, California, with hunting
and fishing running through my veins. I don’t remember when I started fly
fishing, but there are pictures of me stripping Woolly Buggers at Idaho’s
Henry’s Lake when I was four...while wearing a Snoopy lifejacket. In California,
I fished for every kind of bass, but my favorites are definitely striped and white
bass. I spent summers in the Yellowstone region where I got my trout fix each
year. I graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2015 and moved
up to Ponderay, Idaho shortly after. I serve as North 40’s Fly Shop Manager
in Ponderay, where I’m always on the lookout for more fishing and hunting
partners. Stop by the shop, anytime, and we can talk about our latest fishing
experiences.
Tom Larimer
Tom Larimer is driven by the pursuit of ‘never good enough’ when it comes to
anything concerning fly fishing. This can be seen in his unquenchable thirst for
creating, testing and improving equipment, flies and fishing techniques. To say
he is a perfectionist is a vast understatement. This is illustrated by the numerous
Spey lines he has designed for Airflo Fly Lines, the many fly patterns of his in the
Solitude Fly Company catalog, and the multitude of other fly fishing products
he has influenced or designed. The catalyst of his desire for functionality has
been influenced by a 20 year guide stint pursuing steelhead, salmon and trout,
which taken him from his home waters in the Great Lakes, to Alaska, and finally
landed him in the Oregon fifteen years ago. In 2006 he started Larimer Outfitters
and became recognized as one of the elite fly fishing guides on the Deschutes,
Klickitat, Sandy and Clackamas rivers. In addition to guiding, he has shared his
love for travel by hosting anglers on trips to British Columbia, Alaska, Belize and
the Bah amas. More so, his experience from years on the water and developing
cutting edge products has propelled him to the forefront of two-handed casting
instruction. His recent DVD release of “Skagit Revolution” showcases his unique
and effective style of casting instruction. Although he recently retired from
guiding to become the National Sales Manager for G.Loomis Fly Fishing, he still
loves to share his knowledge of the sport and continues to push the envelope in
product design.
