There comes a point in time…
That we realize we don’t have all the answers. That although
we once thought we had a singular reason in the pursuit
of a passion, the time we have been given to reflect on that
pursuit has taught us more about what we have actually
experienced. And… the realization of how few people
actually ever get to understand it. Enjoyment for any
experience comes when you realize you are learning, and
you gain an appreciation and respect from who you are
learning from. It’s the amount of respect that you allow
yourself to give that in turn engrains your place with those
who have taken the time to teach you. When something
that you do is so powerful that it changes the way you
make decisions, it connects you to the others with the same
passion, and when you are in it, you experience yourself,
and the people you spend time with at a higher level… you
should do that more often. Because we will never have all
the answers, what we have is yourself, the river, a few fish,
and your friends that came along with you.
People who learn to enjoy
those things the most always see the success. It’s not until
you watch people transform in to early risers after staying
up way too late around the fire, it’s when you watch your
most impatient friends become teachers willing to pass
their friendship, passion, and knowledge on to the next
person who wants to learn and experience it too that you
begin to feel like you are a part of it.
When you do spend that time,
show the respect it requires, remember that you are always
learning and that you will engrain yourself into something
that you enjoy, share, and protect your whole life.
