Bloom’s Parachute
Henry’s Fork
Cornfed
Sam Wike created a CDC Caddis. He
ties his own, but we get them from
Montana Fly Company for the rest of
you. They get the job done.
The first caddis I tried on the Mo comes
from a local guide named Dave Bloom.
I like the Bloom’s Parachute Caddis. It
has a pink post that I can usually see.
Visibility is important, but if fish are
being picky, I will reach for a Harrop’s
Henry’s Fork Caddis.
On the pupa/emerger side of the
hatch, we also have lots of options. Joe
created the Shop Dust. Sam created
the North 40 Caddis. Over the years,
I’ve caught lots of fish on La Fontaine
Sparkle Pupas. I’ve also hooked fish on
Hogan’s Petrified Pupa, Bloom’s Tung
Dart and more recently with the North
40 Caddis. They are all in my box along
with several others. I mean… we’ve
got over 100 choices.
