Loop booster ROD REVIEW by Cal vin Fuller In my review, I cast the 8’8” 9WT paired with the Booster WF9F/I line. This line is 90 feet in length and weighs 22 grams, or 339.51 grains. The line has a short front taper and proper weight distribution for turning over big flies. The line is dual color for easy determination of the head. The Loop Booster Rod is a monster. This rod quickly loads up and fires like a cannon. The rod is very fast and cannot be over powered. The rod itself feels more like a 6 or 7 weight in your hand than a 9 weight. The cork/rubber mix handle is durable and grips well in wet conditions. The rod features a full curve action that helps throw large flies with p.10 ease. This rod is not meant to be false casted multiple times, simply pick up your line haul and it goes fast. Overall, I think this rod is a great add on to anglers who want to pursue pike, bass, musky, and even saltwater species. This rod will handle tough fish in tough conditions. Cast large flies into the wind will not be too much of a chore with the Loop Booster. The rod comes in a 3-piece model only and packs down into a cordura rod tube. It features durable chrome snake guides and over size stripping guides. The rod also features a heavy duty locking reel seat.
