The Groom ’ s Loft , meanwhile , takes up the third floor of the venue , and features a large lounge area with TV and video games , a dining table for lunch , a game room equipped with a poker table and shuffleboard , a stocked beer fridge , full bathroom with shower , and a dressing room . Additional activities such as fishing , corn hole and other yard games are available at no extra cost . The loft ’ s open design and wall of windows provides excellent views of the grounds and the first floor of the venue .
Another unique and highly popular feature at Southwind Hills is the Honeymoon Cottage . Tucked away in a lush corner of the property overlooking a pond , “ The cottage is designed with comfort , luxury and romance in mind ,” Creswell said . Containing a king-sized bed and sauna , the cottage also offers a fireplace , kitchenette , television , full bathroom and a private porch . Going further , the couple ’ s wedding coordinator will deliver extra dinner plates and cake , complimentary champagne , and the couple ’ s overnight bags . Coffee and an on-the-go breakfast are available the following morning . “ We appreciate all of the hard work and time that everyone put in to make our day flawless ” said bride Alex , who married her husband Landon at Southwind Hills in 2020 . “ Seriously , I did not feel stressed once , which is incredible . It was the perfect day , and Landon and I both just got to enjoy ourselves being surrounded by our family and friends . I can ’ t tell you how many people came up to me telling me how impressed they were with everything . I would go back 100 times and get married there . They are truly a special place where dreams do come true .”
Tanner , who tied the knot with his fiancé last year , was more succinct in his praise , but no less enthusiastic . “ I would recommend this venue to anyone 10 out of 10 ,” he said . “ I had high expectations , and they took it above and beyond .”
Freedom Farms The Venue at Freedom Farms is part of an actual working farm , which began hosting weddings two years ago . With its beautiful backdrop of green rolling hills , a pond with a floating dock , and forested areas , Jackson said that the unique facility , along with very flexible planning options for couples , have made it an increasingly popular location . Like Southwind Hills , it offers spectacular scenery and a gorgeous barn venue with all the amenities to host both elegant and informal ceremonies .
The nearly 5,000-square-foot venue can host up to 300 guests , and can be decorated in whatever fashion the couple wants . Staff members are available to assist the couple with facility-related needs prior to the event and on the day of the ceremony , but Freedom Farms does not provide traditional wedding coordinators . Also , unlike some wedding venues which require couples to use the facility ’ s contracted vendors , those who wed at Freedom Farms are able to select their own florist , caterers , musicians , DJs , photographers , bartenders , etc .
