Amanda Morgan Clark ’ s responsibilities range from mom to TV rodeo star

Norman resident Amanda Morgan Clark has a demonstrated ability to accomplish just about anything she sets her sights on . She ’ s a University of Oklahoma alumna and also holds a University of Texas-Austin graduate degree . Clark founded and sold two small businesses here while currently owning and operating another for over five years at The Clothing Bar , 2001 W . Main Street . She ’ s the mother of two young daughters , actively involved in their multiple activities and education . As a child Clark began successfully competing in the rodeo event of barrel racing Quarter horses . That skill led to her latest challenge starring in the INSP television network ’ s The American Rodeo show titled Guts and Glory .

She plays herself in the competition-based reality style program that pits riders fighting against each other in dramatic fashion for millions in prize money .
“ I never thought I ’ d be a reality TV star ,” Clark said . “ It always kind of intrigued me . But I saw an ad on a Facebook barrel racing group and sent in a video application .”
The application process was not easy but Clark ’ s advanced education is in journalism and she wrote it up real good . She makes videos for The Clothing Bar so that wasn ’ t new for her either . “ I felt comfortable doing the video , sent it in and got a phone call ,” she said . “ Then a Skype interview and they brought a film crew to my house where they videoed me and my girls .
