L’AC Cobra est le fruit de la rencontre entre une AC Ace Britannique et un moteur Ford V8 de grosse cylindrée en 1962.
L’AC Ace, sur le marché depuis 1952, est alors en déclin quand ce nouveau moteur lui offre une seconde vie.
Cette association est l’œuvre de l’américain Carroll Shelby qui lui offre également son appellation issue d'un rêve
qu'il avait fait.
The AC Cobra is a combination of a British AC Ace and a high-capacity Ford V8 engine in 1962. The AC Ace, on the
market since 1952, was then in decline when this new engine gave it a second life.
This association is the work of the American Carroll Shelby.
