Skanska’s new headquarters – first of four buildings
– is showing the way into the future
Mannerheimintie – the most high-profile street in Finland – finally has a worthy
“gatekeeper,” so to speak. Skanska is raising a quartet of office buildings
in the corner of Mannerheimintie and Hakamäentie street, with two
buildings already up and running. This visually pleasing entity
is known as Manskun Rasti and it is situated only
a couple of kilometers away from downtown,
featuring superb connections.

hat makes this set-up especially interesting is that Skanska built the
first building for itself, in an attempt
to truly dig deep into the best practices of
a modern workplace. Skanska’s employees moved into their new headquarters in

ing Director of Skanska Commercial Development Finland (Skanska CDF), says that
the building has surpassed everybody’s expectations so far.
“We have felt right at home here and
now, finally, we get the full benefits of the solutions we have been working on for so long.”
BIM Boost
Pitkänen’s organisation, Skanska Commercial Development Finland, developed the
building, which was completed in February 2012. Skanska House has a total leasable area of 9,100 square metres, and includes
