like the Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple, Thirupathi temple
or Velankanni church, people go with a bundle of grief and
come back with anything between miracles or happiness and
protection. It is a lifelong memory of their mercy that we carry
within ourselves.
There are temples where it is a festival every single day.
People go with their families, pray and come out with a sense
of accomplishment and shop at the stores around for religious
souvenirs or bangles,lockets,rings or toys for children. The
feelings stay as fragrant memories in the minds of everyone
reminding us that our life should be celebrated every single
day.
A visit to a religious place certainly increases our energy. The
lamps, the idols/ deities, the atmosphere which is serene-
where people smile at each other without a tinge of envy or
negativity, exuding helpfulness and comradeship- will spark
the Godliness within us and we get back to our blissful self
which is our original true self. Whenever we struggle out of
that state is when depression and anxiety will pop up. Staying
connected to God is an attitude. But religious institutions
remind us that God is approachable and you just need to take
